SRSSC Conducts Beach Cleaning and Tree Planting

On July 12, Sharp-Roxy Sales & Service Company (M) Sdn. Bhd. (SRSSC: a sales company in Malaysia) cooperated with a local government to hold a voluntary beach cleaning and tree planting activity at the Pantai Bagan Lalang Sepang Selangor. The Bagan Lalang Beach is a popular spot for swimming and family activities, even on weekdays, especially during the school holidays. About two hundred volunteers from the SRSSC staff and their families, along with committee members, enthusiastically took part in the event.

The activity commenced with an introduction of the government's environmental policy by the Director of Health from the District Council of Sepang, who also expressed his gratitude for the involvement of a company in environmental preservation, working hand in hand with the government.

After the event, one of the participants said that it was marvelous that she could have a chance to help tidy up the area and that she planned to go on a family trip there next month. The temperature was high and the participants sweated a lot, but when they saw the beach restored to its original beautiful appearance, they could not help but smile blissfully

The work began with tree planting and moved on to beach cleaning and gazebo painting.

SRSSC also donated 10 rubbish bins for use at the long beach.

Many children participated in a coloring contest whose theme was the environment.

The participants removed wild grass and trash, shoveled soil, dredged ditches, and filled holes, taking three hours to clean up the eight-kilometer beach.
