Energy-Efficient Products

Improving energy efficiency is one of Sharp's most important environmental challenges. What follows are some examples of our energy-efficient products.

TVs
Most Sharp TVs launched in or after June 2005 meet the latest Energy Star requirements (ver. 2.2 phase 3).

Nearly 70% of our Energy Star-qualified models are at least 30% more energy efficient than the Energy Star baseline requires, and over 30% of them are at least 50% more energy efficient.
See Sharp’s current selection of Energy Star-qualified TVs in the US market.

MFPs
A full 100% of Sharp MFPs qualify under the latest version of the Energy Star requirements for imaging equipment (ver. 1.0 tier 1). What’s more, nearly 70% of them are at least 30% more energy efficient than the Energy Star baseline requires.
See Sharp’s current selection of Energy Star qualified MFPs in the US market and in the EU market.

ENERGY STAR®-Qualified Products
ENERGY STAR PRINTERENERGY STAR® is a voluntary Environmental Protection Agency program to promote energy-efficient products. ENERGY STAR®-qualified models have advanced technologies that enable them to use 10 to 50% less energy than the standard products in their categories. Sharp manufactures ENERGY STAR®-qualified models in a wide range of products, including televisions, computers, copiers, printers, monitors, facsimiles, air conditioners, and air purifiers. Many of these models employ specially designed and patented technology developed by Sharp expressly for reducing their energy usage without sacrificing the reliability and features customers expect.
