This report is divided into four chapters.
The first chapter, Special Feature, offers a highly readable look at the three business areas of calculators, LCDs, and solar cells and how they represent Sharp's contribution to society. In the second chapter, Highlights, we present four of the most striking environmental and social achievements of fiscal 2005. In the third, Sharp and the Environment, we outline our environmental policies, objectives, and achievements, then we highlight the technologies that will allow us to set even higher goals. Finally, in Sharp and Society, we talk about what we're doing for all stakeholders-customers, shareholders and investors, business partners, employees, and local communities.
